PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The mold is based on the geometry of the cuboctahedron also called “Vector Equilibrium” because of its radial equilateral symmetry.
In geometry, the cuboctahedron is a polyhedron with 8 triangular faces and 6 square faces. It is the only radially equilateral convex polyhedron.
Buckminster Fuller applied the name “Dymaxion” to this shape, used in an early version of the Dymaxion map. He also called it the “Vector Equilibrium”.
